Dual Perspectives On Expressive Painting
In Plein Air painting, copying exactly what you see is all fine and dandy, but what if you could see beyond reality to make your colors sing and your light and shadow dance?
In this 1-day workshop, Anne Blair Brown and Trey Finney will demonstrate how they use luminous color and expressive mark-making to create paintings reflecting spontaneity and emotion. You will learn how to see past “local” color to create more interest and vibration in your paintings. Anne and Trey will also show you brushwork and mark-making techniques that will help you capture the moment quickly and effortlessly. Students are invited to stay on property after demonstrations for lunch and afternoon painting.
